Odyssey Motorsport Takes on NASRS Tsukuba MX5 Race
Odyssey Motorsport took on NASRS (North American Sim Racing Series) opening meet and greet race at Tsukuba Circuit in the Global Mazda MX5! The race was a litmus test to see if NASRS had the demand to jump into Iracing, and boy did they. 38 drivers showed up to take on the tiny circuit. It was an absolute traffic jam, with a wide range of skill throughout the field. Odyssey drivers Jeffrey Davis, Lesean Young-Dilworth and TJ Yankee all showed up to run, with Davis taking the pole position, Lesean starting in 11th, and TJ in 17th. It was a wild and crazy race with so many MX5s on track, with TJ Yankee having contact early, sending him to the back of the field to 28th on lap 1. He was able to muster a recovery drive and finish P15. Lesean Young-Dilworth had problems of his own, with a lap 14 incident giving him heavy damage, and ending his race, and dropping him to 32nd. Jeffrey Davis, on the other hand, was able to walk away from the rest of the field and take the win for Odyssey Motorsport. The 4k iRated driver showed the whole series how to get the MX5 around Tsukuba the fastest and taking the full Grand Slam victory of Pole, Fastest lap in the race, and the win. Odyssey Motorsport will keep an eye out on more NASRS races in the future, hoping to repeat the success of the team's maiden voyage into this league.
