KCRL S10 Round 7 at Brands Hatch
Round 7 of the Kansas City Racing League's Tuesday night GT3 Pro/Am World tour took place at Brands Hatch last night. An early charge from Cameron Brown for the lead had Paige Daughenbaugh (pole position) on the back foot initially, but after taking back the lead, Paige walked away with the win in the Pro class. Mid race there was a bit of door banging for the remaining podium positions in the Pro class, with David Barkley and Jake Vanhees taking P2 and P3 after the dust settled. Jake was able to hold off a hard offensive effort from Cameron Brown to hold on to 3rd in the final laps. The AM class had a massive number of lead changes, with the top 4 all within striking distance of P1. Any mistake could spell disaster for any one of the drivers, and unfortunately for Mike Piecko, a small mistake while leading in the late stages of the race lost him the lead to Joe Harkness. Kyle McDonald finished P3 after a stout battle with Colton Weat and Jacob Winslow in the race's final moments. Overall, there was a ton of action on track, and with the AM class championship still up in the air, we may see it all come to a head at next week's season 10 finale at Mexico City. Check out the podiums below and the link to the broadcast.
